INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Connect the crappieboatbrakes.com wiring harness to the battery terminals on the twelve-volt battery. Make sure the positive and negative are correct. If your wiring harness kit included a foot button, the wire must be pulled from the front of the boat to the rear of the boat. Plug the foot button into the yellow marked connector on the crappieboatbrakes.com wiring harness.
Remove the nuts from one side of the motor to install one bracket at a time. Do not remove all four nuts at the same time; only two on one side should be removed at a time. Install one bracket, replace the nuts, and tighten. You will repeat this process on the other side. Supporting the weight of the motor during this step is recommended.
The customer may have to drill a hole in the rear boat to connect the wiring harness to the trolling motors. The rubber grommet and four screws included in your kit require a 1-inch hole to connect both trolling motors to the wiring harness. Trolling motors are mounted to pull the boat in reverse; the front of the trolling motor needs to point away from the rear of the boat. Trolling motors must always be in the upright position during travel (tilted and/or raised). If not in an upright position, it may result in the trolling motors being damaged. Crappieboatbrakes.com programs key fobs to turn on momentarily; press and hold the on button to engage, and release to disengage. The foot button is programed to turn on momentarily; press and hold the button to engage, and release to disengage.
